As some of you may be aware Kate, Micah and I have been involved in a little “community living experiment” for the past 7 or so months. We have been sharing a house with another couple and learning what it means to truly share. It has been a great learning experience, with some tough and difficult times, but good to do.
The point is that we are planning to move on (out) as the other couple is having a baby in May and we all agreed that it would be in all our best interests for those guys to have a safe, homely environment to go through that.
So, we are on the lookout for a place.
We have already explored the option of purchasing a place. We went through the whole finance, mortgages thing and got to the point of putting an offer on a place. We even raised our offer, doing the whole “negotiation” thing.
The agent called and suggested that we move on in our search…
So we started the process of looking at rentals. Found a great place. Found a number of not so great places. Put in our application for the great place. But it seems we have had that door shut too.
We are searching in a wide geographic area, thought we had our criteria in good, kingdom-centred values order and yet we come up with nothing…
Back on our knees, seeking provision.
Hmm, the joy of looking for
Hmm, the joy of looking for a pad. Can’t say its ever been fun, but it seems to be getting harder. You could try looking in places no one in their right mind would want to live…oh, you already live in Greensborough! I am really enjoying having a place to myself for the first time in a while – flatmates are great for helping with the rent, but they have friends, unusual hygiene practices, and quite frankly its a chore.
Hope the search becomes fruitful, and yell out if you want a hand moving – and yes, that is a real, genuine offer you can feel free to call me on.
