For Old Testament Theology we are working our way through Brueggemann’s Old Testament Theology and man is it messing with my head. But, in a good way. It is challenging many aspects of my understanding of the Hebrew Scriptures, YHWH, life, interpretation, the church and it’s message.

My sanity is Christian Formation which is looking at devotional classics, the Spiritual disciplines and various vital traditions.

The final piece to coping is new music

With these different elements, I am getting balance to the head stuff. To just sit and reflect on what God is doing, to see what he is doing, to rest.

One of the biggest coming together of thoughts is about the whole meaning and definition of discipleship and the question of what the church (and me as a part of it) is doing to “make disciples”. I have to digest some of the writings on TallSkinnyKiwi’s page on this
